Pininyahang Manok (Pineapple Chicken)... ^_^



Pininyahang Manok.. the first dish i've cooked in our new place.. :) This is one of my favorite viands, i like the taste of pineapple combined with the evaporated milk. You can also use coconut milk instead of evaporated milk. Try it! Below are the ingredients and steps to cook it..enjoy! ^_^

Ingredients:
Chicken, cut into serving pcs.
1 canned pineapple chunks
1 small canned, evaporated milk
Carrot
Bell pepper
garlic
onion
salt and pepper
cooking oil

Cooking Procedure:

  • In a cooking pan, saute garlic, onion and bell pepper in cooking oil.
  • Add the chicken and pineapple juice derived from the can of pineapple chunks for about 20 minutes.
  • Add the evaporated milk and bring to boil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the pineapple chunks and carrots, simmer until the chicken is tender, approximately about 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot and enjoy! ^_^
