"Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa" a Filipino style recipe.. a combination of string beans and squash simmered in coconut milk, simple but tasty and nutritious vegetable dish. It can be cooked with pork, shrimp or crab whichever you prefer to mix with it. This time, I've cooked it with pork as one of my friend don't eat shrimp nor crab.. :) Hope she will like it.. below are the ingredients and a simple and easy way of cooking this dish.. ^_^
Ingredients:
- Squash, peeled and cut into cubes
- String beans, cut into pcs.
- Pork, diced
- Fish sauce
- Coconut milk
- Garlic, minced
- Onion, chopped
- Cooking oil
- Salt and pepper
- Water
Cooking Instruction:
- In a saucepan, heat cooking oil then saute onion and garlic. Put in pork meat and mix well.
- Add the squash and string beans. Pour in water and season with fish sauce.
- Let it simmer until vegetables are tender.
- Pour in coconut milk and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot and enjoy! ^_^
